HS Sprenger French Weymouth
Sprenger’s French Riding Bridle does not need any tongue clearance at all, as the complete rod has a uniformly upward curved shape, thus distributing the pressure optimally over the entire width of the tongue (middle and edges of the tongue). The curb is equipped with 7cm long suits, which increase the pressure on the neck, but allow the rider’s aids to arrive “delayed” due to the extended lever. This allows a harmonious and fine tuning between horse and rider, but it should not be forgotten that the use always requires an experienced and sensitive rider’s hand. It is also important to note that the curb bit is lower than the underlay bridle. As the mouth becomes narrower towards the front, the curb bit should be ordered 0.5 – 1 cm shorter.
